EmpowerRise Hub engaged 100 students (girls and boys) from Standard 8 to Form 4 in discussions on FGM, GBV, and digital safety, strengthening youth awareness and prevention efforts.
Girls’ Session – East Africa Primary & Secondary School
3 December 2025 | Buulaxubey, Mogadishu
A girls-only session with 30 students focused on FGM, GBV, and digital violence, creating a safe space for dialogue and empowerment.
University Outreach – Darusalam University
3 December 2025 | Mogadishu
A dialogue with 25 female university students addressed FGM, GBV, and TFGBV, highlighting youth leadership in advocacy and prevention.
Open Discussion for Young Women – Sunrise Hotel, Zoobe
4 December 2025 | Mogadishu
An open discussion with 30 young women explored FGM, GBV, and digital safety, amplifying youth voices and solutions.
Digital Advocacy Campaign
Youth-led short videos were produced and shared on TikTok and Facebook, with participation from Somali influencers, to raise awareness on ending FGM and digital violence.
City-Wide Street Awareness Campaign
Anti-FGM and anti-digital-violence stickers with QR codes were placed across Mogadishu on bajaaj, public transport, shops, restaurants, barber shops, and public spaces—linking communities directly to campaign content online.
